NEC Business Phone System – How to Set and Cancel Station Call Back
NOTE: The instructions below apply to NEC DT800 IP Phones and NEC DT400 Digital Phones on the NEC SV9100 telephone system with InMail as well as NEC DT700 IP Phones and NEC DT300 Digital Phones on the NEC SV8100 Phone System.
If a co-worker is on the phone and you need to speak with them, set a station call back:
Steps to setting a station call back:
- Press the hotline key or dial the extension number for the co-worker who is on the phone that you wish to speak with.
- Upon hearing the busy/ring signal, press “2” which corresponds to “C” for Call Back
- You will hear conformation tones and CAMP-ON (co-worker’s name) will be displayed
- Press speaker to hang up
- When the co-worker is finished with their call your phone will ring and display will say “Callback (co-worker’s name).
- Pick up your handset or press speaker to automatically ring your co-worker’s extension.
- If you are not available to accept the station call back, after four rings, station call back will cancel itself.
Steps to cancelling a station call back:
- Dial “770” CAMP CANCEL will be displayed
- Press speaker to hang up
