ServiceMark and NEC Corporation’s Relationship Through the Years

ServiceMark has been an NEC Dealer since 1995, and the relationship between the two companies passed the test of time. NEC was a great partner of ServiceMark for 30 years and we were a “Double Diamond Dealer” for many of those years which represents partnership and high volume of sales.

As much as we enjoyed working with NEC and selling their product, the NEC on-premises solutions and all on-premises solutions from all manufactures came to an end after covid in 2020. Customers no longer wanted a solution where they were connected to their building and couldn’t work from “anywhere”.

The dawn of all customers needing to move to a cloud-based phone system was upon us and NEC decided in 2024 to pull out of the business phone system market. ServiceMark had already been offering NEC on-premises phone system and cloud-based phones systems from Intermedia, Zoom, and Net2Phone. We were prepared for this change which helped us help our customer with a seamless transition to one of our cloud-based phone system solutions.

As much as we are excited about cloud-based phone system and all the wonderful benefits it provides our customers, we are still here to help support customers with NEC On-premises phone system.   This system will be discontinued on March 30, 2030. New sales are discontinued but we might be able to still purchase licenses and software assurance. Discussion is needed to determine at the time you contact us what NEC is providing and supporting.
