NEC Business Phone System – How to Mute the Telephone Microphone
NOTE: The instructions below apply to NEC DT800 IP Phones and NEC DT400 Digital Phones on the NEC SV9100 telephone system with InMail as well as NEC DT700 IP Phones and NEC DT300 Digital Phones on the NEC SV8100 Phone System.
Steps to muting your telephone microphone:
- Press lit Mic button
- Now the light on your Mic button is turned off and you are muted.
- If you press the lit Mic while on a live call, the light on your Mic button will flash which also signals that you are muted.
Steps to unmuting your telephone microphone
- Press the unlit or flashing MIC button
- Now the light on your Mic button is turned on and you are no longer muted.
